Slow Food Oberlin Welcomes Nathaniel Mich ’10 Back to Campus!

Join Slow Food Oberlin College in welcoming Nathaniel Mich, OC ’10, back to campus this coming week! Nathaniel, a former OSCA member chocolate exco teacher, is now the Head Chocolatier and Ice Cream Maker at Hedonist Artisan Chocolates in Rochester, NY, where his work has been recognized by both local and national publications, including The New York Times. Besides his culinary accomplishments, Nathaniel has studied food cultures as an anthropology, archeology and geology triple major at Oberlin and worked with the education department of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. He has also appeared on the Food Network’s Sweet Genius show and a TEDx talk.
On Thursday, April 11th, Nathaniel will give a talk entitled “The Chocolate Connection: Building a Handmade Community” at 7:30 pm in Hallock Auditorium in the Environmental Studies Building. On Friday, April 12, Nathaniel will meet with Slow Food Oberlin College members and host a chocolate tasting. A limited number of seats are open to Oberlin College students for the tasting; please email oberlin@slowfoodusa.org for more information.
